oncNGS final event – 10/04/2026
oncNGS final event to explore the future of innovation procurement in precision cancer diagnostics
As the oncNGS Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) project reaches its final stage, the consortium will host a closing event on Friday 10 April 2026 in Brussels. The meeting will take place at the Pullman Hotel (Place Victor Horta 1, 1060 Brussels) and will mark the completion of the project while opening the discussion on how innovation procurement can support the adoption of new diagnostic technologies in healthcare systems.
The event will bring together clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and innovation procurement experts to reflect on the journey from R&D procurement to the sustainable integration of precision diagnostics into healthcare practice.
Event details
Date: Friday 10 April 2026
Time: 10:00 – 16:00
Location: Pullman Hotel, Place Victor Horta 1, 1060 Brussels
Programme
The programme is structured around two complementary sessions. Find the preliminary agenda here.
The morning session (10:00 – 12:35) will focus on the technical foundations and clinical value of the oncNGS PCP, including presentations from the two contractors that reached the final phase of the procurement process.
The afternoon session (13:30 – 16:00) will explore Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) and Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI) as strategic tools to support the adoption of innovative technologies and drive transformation in healthcare systems.
About oncNGS
The oncNGS project is an EU-funded initiative that uses Pre-Commercial Procurement to stimulate the development of innovative solutions for circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA)-based Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) testing in oncology and haematology.
Through a phased procurement process, public and private buyers from Belgium, Italy, Spain, France, and Germany jointly defined clinical and technical requirements and procured R&D services to design and prototype solutions, while assessing their performance, scalability, affordability, interoperability, and regulatory readiness.
Join the discussion
The final event will provide an opportunity to explore how innovation procurement can accelerate the adoption of advanced diagnostic technologies and support the implementation of precision medicine in European healthcare systems.
Participants will also have the opportunity to exchange with key stakeholders involved in the project and discuss the next steps for bringing these innovations closer to routine clinical practice.
The oncNGS consortium looks forward to welcoming participants to Brussels for this final project event.
